A love marriage better than any from Bollywood

Or Hollywood!

Amol and Reshama, a wonderful engagement earlier posted, promised a big wonderful Marathi wedding. A significant understatement is to say that it was. From the moment Amol poured the giant shot for Reshama years ago, I think they must have known how great their wedding would be. The families basked in the glow of the two of them Friday night at the Mehndi, Reshama had to point out to me Amol’s name amongst the swirls and curves of her Mehndi, but his name in Maarthi stayed on her heart finger…though Amol couldn’t quite find his name, he picked Reshama’s out in an instant. Doctors the two of them, they sat among a throng of equally accomplished people of letters, “127, doctors in the room” He didn’t mention the number of attorneys, I’m thinking he wanted to avoid the fights!

The people at the Bethesda Marriott in Rockville turned the room in minutes, set the plates, decorated the halls and blew the guests, and the photographers and videographers away. To Latoya chief of equals, and all your staff, what a wonderful job. John Rose the videographer also kept the ball rolling.  I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves, but I am happy to report still being in tears when I hear “Desi Girl” in my head, to see the way Reshama and Amol looked at each other, the warmth of the families. To all uncles, and all aunties, Thank you and Namaskar (which is how Resh told me to say it at least)
